Hey Boo, I’m Morgie!

Big Fine Mama. Creative. Self Love Advocate.

First of all welcome! I’m so glad you’re here, getting to know me.

I was born and raised in Houston Texas, and at any moment I might break out a freestyle in my southern drawl. I’m a mother to two amazing little humans, and wife to my partner in life and business, Pierre. I’m an advocate for radical self-love because I believe that loving your whole self at every stage of life is a critical part of our overall wellness.

My journey as a content creator started on my fifth birthday when my mama gifted me a Barbie polaroid camera– it was pink, purple, and green with a flower print across the face. That camera quickly became my best friend as I used it to document everything my little brain found interesting. A peek into my photo box would reveal images of our living room decor, cat eye closeups, parents cooking in the kitchen, toys decorating the floor, and a sleepy grandpa on the couch among other captures. I was documenting our lifestyle without even realizing it. Throughout childhood, My mother constantly encouraged me to explore my talents across disciplines, but my heart was always drawn to the creative arts.

It wasn’t until I was inspired to shave my relaxed hair off to “Go Natural” in 2013, that I found myself online in the creator space of YouTube. As I learned to take care of my hair, I made videos to teach other people with kinky curls how to style and care for their hair, with an intention to normalize the beauty of Black hair types in mainstream media. That brave decision encouraged my mother and sister to embrace their Natural Hair and revealed to me the power of positive influence.

With the photography, graphic design, and cinematography skills I learned from creating YouTube videos, plus an intense study of photo and film courses, I launched my photography company in 2015, and have been a full-time business owner and content creator ever since.

When I’m not hanging with y’all on the internet, I can be found cozying up to my family on our favorite leather sectional under a warm blanket, flying my drone in a park, or eating tacos, because yes.

listen.
